What a difference a year makes.

After being held scoreless in last year's rookie season, Camden Cundiff came back with a vengence. Scoring 4 goals in the 2007 season opener before being rested much of the second half, Cundiff looked as though he was playing in a contract year. Asked about Camden's off season training and incredible opening performance, his father stated that "It was only a matter of time. What you saw here today, as impressive as it may have been, was only the tip of the iceburg. There is much, much more to come."

Talk is already beginning to circulate with speculations of league MVP and a record breaking 57 goal season.

Congratulations! I always liked to feed Jacob a candy bar about 15 minutes before the game. Rocket-fuel.

sweet!! we're so proud (the haiti portion of the family, that is!)!

sounds like a good article, does it continue to talk about the other players, the team as a whole, their opponents? or was camden the main topic!?
:)

Yes, it does. That was just an excerpt. I believe it went on to talk about how Camden had to be rested in order to allow his teammates the opportunity to score. From what I recall, that is.

Did any of his team-mates give him grief for being such a stellar athlete, for doing what he's worked hard and trained his body to do, thereby robbing them of the chance to stumble upon a chance at their own personal glory?

I can't compete with the quick humor.

I would love to come watch though and cheer him on.

Absolutely, shameless, Jeremy Cundiff you should be ashamed of yourself! What kind of father puts that much pressure on such a sweet little boy! :)

I'll tell you, Gail..... it's the Jeremy kind of father that's who.

I'm not sure who was more excited Camden or his proud Daddy!! It was too close to call.
